In a new post on X (previously known as Twitter), Asus has announced that it has started rolling out an update to Armoury Crate SE (ACSE) for the ROG Ally. Along with that, the company has also given an update about the AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) feature for the handheld gaming console. Starting with the update to ACSE, it bumps the software’s version to 1.4.10 and brings four significant improvements.

Armoury Crate SE v1.4.10 for ROG Ally

The biggest improvement is the addition of the Manual mode to the Operating Mode in the Command Center. Up until now, people had to access the Manual mode by opening Armoury Crate SE, navigating to Operating Mode, and then selecting the Manual mode. Not anymore. With the latest update, people can access the Manual mode right from the Command Center. The Manual mode allows people to change SPL, SPPT, and FPPT, which control how much power goes to the chipset in various scenarios.

The second improvement is that “users can now assign Gryo Enable feature to multiple buttons.” The third improvement is the addition of the ‘Never show again’ option for Campaign popups. If you check this option, the device will not show you campaign popups. The fourth and last improvement is that the Operating Mode in new Game Profiles will be set to ‘Unassigned' to prevent conflicts with the global Operating Mode, the one that you set in the Command Center or the Armoury Crate SE app.

AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) for ROG Ally

As for the update on AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF), a feature that generates frames to increase frame rate and offer smoother gaming performance, for the ROG Ally, Asus says that it will release a graphics driver with support for AFMF to the ROG Ally after testing the feature on its end and getting the driver certified from AMD. Asus further added that it was working on getting AFMF to the ROG Ally as soon as possible. Asus has also announced that it will release the ROG Ally 2 this year.
