Sony has announced that people can now redeem six months of subscription to Apple Music for free on the PlayStation 5 (PS5) gaming console. It looks like Apple is offering this benefit to promote the company’s music streaming service on the gaming platform.

According to Sony, the offer is valid for new and returning subscribers. However, people who have never subscribed to Apple Music will get six months of subscription to the music streaming service for free, whereas, the ones who had subscribed to Apple Music before but discontinued the subscription are eligible to get five months of subscription to the music streaming platform for free. People who are currently subscribed to Apple Music are not eligible for the offer. You can avail this benefit on any PS5 model, including the original PS5 and PS5 Digital, and the recently launched PS5 Slim. According to Sony, you can grab this offer by 15 November 2024.

To avail of the offer, download the Apple Music app on your gaming console and log into it using your Apple ID. If you don’t have an account, you can create one then and there. Once you grab the offer, Sony says that you can “listen to over 100 million songs, all ad-free” on the streaming platform, “before, during, or after your gameplay session.” Once the trial period is over, you can choose to continue the subscription at $10.99/month in the US. You can check the list of eligible countries for this offer on Sony’s official website.
