Foldable phone enthusiasts can save a considerable amount of money if they buy the Galaxy Z Fold 5 through Samsung's enhanced trade-in program. At the moment, the company is offering up to $1,000 trade-in credit for select phones, but even old Android devices can net you a decent price cut.

At best, Galaxy Z Fold 5 (unlocked) buyers can save $1,000 when they exchange a flagship phone and up to an additional $450 through the Samsung Offer Program. Combining these discounts lowers the Galaxy Z Fold 5's price from $1,799 to $349.

Story continues after our Galaxy Z Fold 5 review video

As far as the trade-in program goes, the good news is that Samsung offers enhanced credit for a variety of older phones, including:

    • $140 $400 off for the Galaxy Note 10+
    • $100 $400 off for the Galaxy Note 10
    • $120 $400 off for the Galaxy S21 FE 5G
    • $30 $300 off for the Galaxy S8
    • $40 $300 off for the Galaxy A51
    • $15 $300 off for the Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung also offers enhanced trade-in values for old Google Pixel devices. And for other Android phone brands that are not specified, the company is willing to cut up to $300 off when customers buy the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

This is a great opportunity to buy a foldable Galaxy phone at a lower price, but do keep in mind that trade-in values and other offers vary depending on market.
