    October 2023 security update released to Galaxy A53 in several countries

    A few days ago, Samsung released the October 2023 security update to the Galaxy A53 in Europe and the US. In the US, though, the update was only available for the carrier-locked version of the smartphone. Now, the company has expanded the availability of the new security update to the Galaxy A53 in more markets, including Asia, Australasia, and the US.

    Galaxy A53 gets October 2023 security update in more countries

    The new security update for the Galaxy A53 comes with firmware version A536EXXS7CWI1, and it is available in Australia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, the Caucasus region, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Ukraine, and Vietnam. More Asian countries could get the update soon.

    The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A53 has started getting the new update. It comes with firmware version A536U1UES6CWI3 and is available on all carrier networks in the US. The new update comes with the October 2023 security patch that fixes dozens of security flaws found in the previous software version.

    If you have a Galaxy A53 and if you live in the countries or regions mentioned above, you can check for the October 2023 security update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also use the alternative method of downloading the new firmware file from our firmware database and flashing it manually.
