Earlier this month, Samsung released the Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch Beta update to the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. It hasn’t even been a week since then, and Samsung is all set to release the second beta version of the One UI 5 Watch update to these smartwatches by the end of this week.
The report comes from the Samsung Members forum for Korea. In reply to a post, a moderator on the platform has revealed that Samsung will release a new version of One UI 5 Watch Beta this week. Unfortunately, the moderator didn’t reveal what changes will the new software update offer. That being said, expect it to bring bug fixes and performance improvements.
Currently, the One UI Watch 5 Beta Program is available in the US and South Korea. If you are interested in trying out the new version of the OS, go to the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy phone and register for the beta program. You should then get the update on your Galaxy Watch. Since this is a beta version of the OS, it might have several bugs. So, install it knowing that it might hinder the standard functionality of the wearable.
Once Google releases the stable version of Wear OS 4, expect Samsung to roll out the final build of One UI 5 Watch to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series in a couple of months. That's when it will be available to everyone. Unfortunately, there's no info on when Google will release the stable version of Wear OS 4. In the meantime, you can check out all the new features that Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch Beta offers in this article.
