Well, we are just a few days away from the official launch of a new foldable from Motorola, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. However, before the inevitable happens, some leaks have surfaced on the internet, giving us a peek at some disappointing specifications of the upcoming Motorola Razr. Spoiler alert, the Motorola Razr isn't as water resistant as the one-year-old Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Popular leakster @SnoopyTech has shared a spec sheet of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, which is the international variant of the company's flagship foldable phone. The leaked spec sheet suggests that the Motorola Razr will pack a year-old Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Motorola Razr will come with DeX-like ‘ReadyFor' desktop experience

The phone will be powered by a 3,800 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It has a 6.9-inch 165Hz inner foldable display and a 3.6-inch 144Hz outer display. Apparently, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will come with an IP52 ‘water-repellent' rating, which is less than that of the Galaxy Z Flip 4's and even the 2-year-old Galaxy Z Flip 3‘s IPX8 rating for water resistance.

That is a bit sad, as water resistance is something that a user expects from a foldable phone, as they are paying a premium price for the design, and also because the phone isn't as durable as the regular slab phones. The plus side that can be seen in the specification is that the Motorola Razr will come with the ‘ReadyFor' feature that lets you enjoy the desktop experience Motorola allows users to use via its smartphones. Sadly, DeX, which is Samsung's take on the desktop experience, isn't available on any Galaxy Z Flip series phones yet. However, it is expected to be there on the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

One important thing that should be noted is that these specs could be out of date because of the fact that there is a 2020 date stamp in the bottom corner of the image. So, we would advise you to take the information with a grain of salt.
