The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G are a few days away from their March 16 debut. An Austrian retailer appears to have jumped the gun and listed both phones on its digital storefront, complete with full specs lists and tentative prices.

Most of the specifications revealed by MediaMarkt (via @rquandt) are nothing new. But the lists are comprehensive, and one detail, in particular, seems to go against an earlier report concerning the Galaxy A54 5G's battery capacity.

According to MediaMarkt, the Galaxy A54 5G won't have an upgraded 5,100mAh battery but a 5,000mAh one, just like the Galaxy A34 5G and the Galaxy A53 5G before it.

But to be more precise, previous leaks indicate that the Galaxy A54 5G battery does have a slightly larger “rated capacity” than the Galaxy A53. However, the difference doesn't seem big enough for Samsung to advertise the A54 battery as having a higher “typical capacity” than the 2022 model.

    Galaxy A54 5G specifications

According to the source, the Galaxy A54 5G is powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset and 6GB/8GB of RAM. It has 128GB/256GB of expandable storage. The 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display supports a resolution of 2340 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The phone's triple camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. The phone can record videos at up to 4K @ 30fps. And the selfie sensor comes in at 32MP.

The device has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and weighs 202 grams. In terms of connectivity, it features Wi-FI 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3.

MediaMarkt lists the Galaxy A54 5G with 128GB of storage for €499.

    Galaxy A34  5G specifications

The Galax A34 5G doesn't have an Exynos chipset but a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. It also comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage.

The A34 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display supports an FHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080) and a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the more expensive Galaxy A54.

Cameras take a bit of a hit. The triple-sensor setup comprises a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera, while the selfie sensor clocks in at 13MP. But the primary sensor still has Optical Image Stabilization, which should help it capture better images in motion and low-light conditions.

The Galaxy A34 has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and weighs 198 grams. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2.

MediaMarkt is asking €389 for the Galaxy A34 5G with 128GB of storage.

Samsung will announce the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 in numerous markets before the end of the week. In India, customers can already sign up for notifications on a pre-launch registration page.
