Samsung has released its convenient ‘Door to Door' repair service to South Africa, the company confirmed today. Customers who might be experiencing issues with their Samsung products are no longer required to visit a customer care center. Instead, they can have their defective Galaxy devices picked up from home or office by a Samsung representative. The device will then repaired and returned to the customer according to the pre-established delivery time.

The Door to Door service covers nearly every Galaxy brand, save for a few exceptions, such as the Galaxy M series. It's available for the Galaxy Z, Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, Galaxy A, and Galaxy J smartphones, as well as Galaxy Tab S, Tab A, and Tab Active tablets. In addition, it also covers all Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active models, all Galaxy Fit bands, and all Galaxy Buds earbuds.

How does the Door to Door repair service work?

Samsung customers in South Africa who might want to take advantage of the Door to Door repair service program can visit the dedicated Door to Door webpage and request pickup and delivery in exchange for R330 ($23). Evidently, the repairing and servicing of devices will come at an additional cost.

Samsung's Door to Door service is available in four locations and it's accessible within a 40Km radius of a customer care center. The company has an estimated repair time of three business days, provided that the required spare parts are available. Customers will be informed accordingly and they'll be able to track the repair progress.

Once repaired, devices will be sanitized by Samsung according to Covid regulations before bringing them back to the customer's doorstep.
