There have been a few reports recently about an expected Galaxy A50 US launch. There's more reason to believe now that it may be closer than you think. Samsung's new Galaxy A series has done incredibly well in markets like India. The company will soon be bringing a handful of these new devices to North America.

The Galaxy A20, Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70 are all expected to arrive in North America soon. The devices have been certified by the FCC so they have already cleared a major regulatory hurdle. The official Samsung Pay app has now been updated with what appears to be support for the Galaxy A50.

Galaxy A50 US launch could take place on June 21

The new Galaxy A series has performed well because it blends together some sought-after features in an affordably priced package. It was just the right formula to capture the Indian consumer's attention. Samsung will be looking to replicate that success in the lucrative markets of North America as well.

The Galaxy A50 is one of Samsung's first devices with an Infinity-U display. That's the waterdrop style notch on its 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. It's also the first non-flagship with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

An update has been sent out for the Samsung Pay app which mentions “with A50 US” in the changelog. This would suggest that the app has received support for the US variant of the Galaxy A50. Something like this would only happen when the device's release was just around the corner.

There has been no confirmation as yet from Samsung regarding the Galaxy A50 US launch. It's also unclear whether the device will be offered by all four major carriers. It was reported recently that at least Verizon would be selling it. June 21 is when the Galaxy A50 is expected to officially launch in the United States.
