Galaxy Note 8 Android Pie firmware can now be downloaded from SamMobile

Samsung is moving quickly with Android Pie for its flagship phones, having released the stable Pie update for the Galaxy Note 8 earlier today. It took the Korean giant exactly a month to release the official update after the Note 8’s Pie beta program was launched. To top it all off, Samsung has released the stable update for both Pie beta and Android Oreo users. The rollout for Oreo users started in Bulgaria and Slovakia earlier today, and we have now have the full Pie firmware for those countries in our database.

The update has been rolling out over the air for a few hours now, but if it isn’t showing up for you, you can download the Android Pie firmware from SamMobile to quickly make the jump to the new version of Android and Samsung’s beautiful One UI. The Pie update comes with software version N950FXXU5DSB2 and the February 2019 security patch, and you can see everything that’s new in our One UI (Android Pie) feature focus series.

Firmware for other countries should start showing up in the next few days, but it depends on how quickly Samsung will expand the rollout. For some countries, the official Pie update may not come out before March. The best way to check when it’s expected in your country is to open the Samsung Members app, go into the Notices section, and opening the Pie update schedule, which will have estimated time frames for the Pie update for various Galaxy devices.

You can download the Galaxy Note 8 Pie firmware here. Be sure to backup important data before you attempt to flash the firmware and to keep the phone charged to at least 20 percent.

It is April 4, 2019 and PIE has not shown up on my SM-N950U1. My security update is still on Dec 1, 2018. Looks as if my phone dropped in an Android PIE pit (probably my pie was cherry).

Just got mine. Rather late. SM-N950N (South Korea SKT). Coincidentally I am on my bi-annual visit to Seoul. Shame, considering Korea is the country of origin. Was troublesome update. My Japanese input is gone, even from the keyboard language list, and it took me to open firefox before being given option to redownload.

just flashed mine via Odin on my N950F dual sim.. amazing features and Samsung keyboard is awesome…. whatsapps pop notification is super cool.. but can’t use night mode when theme is applied that’s crap.

Friend that option to want to use the dark mode along with the issues is not possible or would be convenient as it is intended to improve battery consumption and protect the eyes, but you can use themes that are in the application of themes that simulate the dark mode .

Greetings I hope you serve my comment!

I live in Brazil, but i´ve installed the bulgarian version and so far it´s working fine (it works on portuguese). I have already installed a different version (country-wise) for Oreo and never had any issue. So far so good.

do you think I can install it on my note 8 even though I’m in Africa, and if I do does it have English option since Bulgarian language is not English.

Some reviews online showed that there is AI detection on the camera. But when I update using the Bulgaria firmware, there isn’t any… (kinda disappointed)
*AI detection=Scene Optimiser

Assuming the February patch is only on 9.0 for the Note8, I should get the update at the end of the month

I’m from Bangladesh and I’m using samsung galaxy note 8(sm-n950f). If I update Bulgarian firmware in my device, am I able to use official Bangali language in my phone? Am I able to replace with any pie firmware(another countries) later?

Really mess a lot that the update for N9600 versión isn´t available yet… it´s a flagship phone Samsung, is really embarrasing to don´t have work on the update yet… really dissapointing…

Oh yeah. It’s total crap. I have a n9600 and I’m pretty irked that the Note 8 a device from 2017 is getting the newest software before my carrier unlocked device. This is Utter nonsense
