New report brings more details about the Galaxy S10 prices

There’s no official information as yet about the Galaxy S10 prices. A new report seems to shed light on the matter. It goes without saying that the upcoming flagship series is going to be expensive. That has always been the expectation.

For this very reason, Samsung will be offering an entry-level model. It will be cheaper than the rest and will have slightly less to offer in the specs department. This particular model may be launched as the Galaxy S10 Lite.

Galaxy S10 prices and release date mentioned in new report

According to this report, the Galaxy S10 Lite will be available for 779 euro or $880 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There may not be another configuration. The Galaxy S10 will have a 5.8-inch flat Infinity-O display, a dual rear camera and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The 6.1-inch Galaxy S10 will be available with 6GB/128GB and 8GB/512GB RAM and storage configurations for 929 euro or $1,050 and 1179 euro or $1,340 respectively. It has a 6.1-inch curved Infinity-O display, a triple camera system and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Samsung is said to offer the 6.4-inch Galaxy S10+ with 6GB/128GB and 8GB/512GB of RAM and storage for 1049 or $1,200 and 1299 euro or $1480 respectively.

Last but not the least, the 6.7-inch 5G-compatible Galaxy S10 X may be priced at 1599 euro or just under $1,800. It will feature a quad camera system at the back. All variants will have the same processor under the hood.

Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy S10 officially on February 20 in San Francisco. It’s going to release the handset in the next month. This report about the Galaxy S10 prices mentions that the handsets are going to be available for purchase starting March 8. The same release date has been floated in earlier reports as well.

Nothing is obviously set in stone right now since there hasn’t been an official confirmation. Nevertheless, the Galaxy S10 has always been expected to be priced in this bracket anyway. After all, it’s a flagship smartphone series, and those don’t tend to be cheap anymore.

1800 is a Bit Pricey, But For What You End Up With, With other much less expensive options you will probably end up with like 10 gigabytes of RAM + 512 gigabytes of hard-drive space. That’s if they actually want this device to be selling and give people the specs that they looking for. I’m not going to pay $1,800 for Essentially a Galaxy Note 9 that has a little bit more RAM. I just purchased my girlfriend a Galaxy Note 9 from Sprint where we pay $20 a month. The phone itself is $960 so it’s not like there… Read more »

What about 12gb ram ?

Wait for few months and they will have promotion for it. I dont know why they keep doing the same thing. They have been trying to put the price tags as expensive as Iphone and then doing promotions later.

Not paying that much for a phone, sorry. Not that long ago, flagships used to be expensive but still not insanely price and phones haven’t really got better since then.

1800$? Seriously? πŸ˜€ and on top of that only 2 major OS updates and exynos 9820 that would be around half the power of apple’s A12 (that for that price is also not enough). Also I like how nowdays we call a 900$ phones a budget ones (as from previous years prices, it will come at that cost for me in my country, the 1800$ one will be more likely 2000$ here).

I think Samsung and Apple challenge each other who still offers more expensive phones .. the prices of cell phones are totally exaggerated .. best choice now, the Chinese manufacturers: Xiaomi, Huwaei, One Plus

This is exactly the right answer. Rather than crying like all the babies here, just buy what is suitable for you without complaining. Xiaomi have very good budget flagships.

The price of the lite phone could be lower but the others are just about right. In Germany we would be accustomed to these prices though poor people or people with low pay jobs probably won’t buy them. We always get very good deals and discounts for the older phone anyway.

Biransahin

My thoughts exactly.

If the S10 lite Vs S10 base model differences are not having FPS under screen, dual Vs triple camera and flat screen.

The price difference is relative to the missing tech.

Biransahin
Biransahin

The prices seem reasonable enough given the fantastic specs. I’m sure there will be very good trade in options and/or freebies. The only one that’s a bit too highly priced is the S10 lite, that’s too much. However, I think the final and official prices may not be quite this high. We won’t have to wait long to find out.

Gunter2
Gunter2

I see some people don’t like your comment! LOL. They probably won’t like mine either! I agree that given the specs of the flagship models the price is ok, though the lite is a bit expensive. Just because some people cannot afford it desn’t make it too expensive. Not everyone can afford my BMW but it doesn’t mean it’s not worth it.

Biransahin
Biransahin

True enough. Anyway I just call them the loser brigade. They don’t like what they can’t afford. You can either pay or not. If you cannot afford it, no point in crying like a baby.

Gunter2
Gunter2

That’s true. When I was in college I couldn’t afford the car or house I have now. I didn’t complain that they were too expensive but I wanted them. I worked hard in my practice so I could afford them. But unsuccessful people are always the same. They moan and complain about things they can’t buy. These phones are premium devices. Just like my car, you can probably get a Ford with the same specifications for cheaper, but it’s still not a BMW.

Biransahin
Biransahin

Exactly. If you can’t afford the premium product, buy the budget phone. Nobody forces anyone to pay. I guarantee that those who say a Pocophone is just as good, if they ever become successful and have plenty of money, they’ll throw the Pocophone in the rubbish and buy an S10+ or an iPhone XS Max with 512gb memory. It’s human nature for some to hate what they can’t have.

Gunter2
Gunter2

I now. It’s like this loser guy @djcbs. He either hates Samsung or can’t afford the flagships so he shows his jealousy. Why does he even come here if he has no liking for Samsung phones? He’s just a loser with no life.

I don’t know who’s the greatest loser, me or you, a pathetic cunt who, when arguments are lacking, tries to deflect bis failures and insecurities on others. You can’t fathom a world where people don’t have to like what you like and can disagree and show it about the direction a company they’re a customer of is taking. Pathetic illiterate primates like yourself can only understand binary logic and are incapable of computing hard mental processes like'”opinions”. Normally guys like you are aborted. It’s not about not being able to afford it or not. It’s the principal that because of apple it has been a norm for flagships to.be over a 1000. This is getting around the price for entry level luxury watch but looking at the spec and design I probably be picking up the new S10 8gb/512 model from day one. Yes there are people on lower income but not all people have been fortunate to.have your opportunity to be that successful. Also agree there are lazy People out there who don’t want to better themselves. By the way tbh BMW… Read more »

If these prices materialise – and it’s very likely they will – just as I predicted, sales of the entire S10 line will be even worse than those of the S9.
And the S10 Lite will definitely be their own iPhone XR.

I’ll wait and see this plane crash. It seems Samsung hasn’t yet learned from the past couple of years of decreasing sales OR from Apple’s terrible results lately.

GS7edge
GS7edge

Samsung’s last year sales was ruined by Chinese competitors because Chinese offer flagships as well as their budget and mod range phones with good specs but with more affordable price. Even though most of their phone design is bad, people will still buy it because of the affordable price that offers good specs and I’ve seen that majority who buys phone doesn’t even really care about phone design (which is important to me when buying phone). If Samsung does the pricing right this year especially their M and A series, I’m sure that Samsung will have a better sales than… Read more »

5he Samsung mid range line has been shocking in both spec and over priced.

The Chinese OEM had more powerful soc and more memory too

djcbs
djcbs

Well, we’re talking about the S series here, though. Not their other lines. And that’s the thing. The S9 sales were worse than the S8 sales. Which were worse than the S7. Year after year Samsung’s sales have been getting worse. And the Chinese OEMs aren’t the only ones to blame. They’re losing ground in markets where Chinese OEMs are NOT preferred, like Europe. But when a Chinese OEM like Huawei presents two very good phones (even with a crappy design) like the P20 Pro and the Mate 20 Pro, and all that Samsung has to show is an oversized… Read more »

The reported prices are to be expected. Just look at all other flagship prices from last year, Apple continues this trend even further into 2019, and it’s not just flagships. Midrange phones (especially Samsung’s) are getting more and more expensive each year as well, just look at the Galaxy A7 or A9 for example, and even low-end devices such as Samsung J Series or Huawei’s Y series. The only reasonable priced phones are the Pocophone F1 and many others from Xiaomi, OnePlus flagships (but that may change soon) and Honor (sub-brand of Huawei but sells less expensive phones than Huawei… Read more »

So none of the Galaxy S10 devices is getting a full infinity display(no notch) ? how i hate notch nomatter what you call it infinity-O, infinity-U, V, X, Z whatever its still just a damn notch

Just bring me a no notch display, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual sim and microsd slot, and you are guaranteed that i will pay for that Samsung phone even if it costs $2000

i know Samsung takes care of other departments such as the camera and also other new features

This doesn’t take into account that the pricing in the U.S. is typically reasonable. And there are no taxes included in the prices so it will be lower. The 5G one sounds accurate though.

I can’t pay that much. I’ll stick with my S9+

Bobbingalong
Bobbingalong

Wow that is pricey!

But good news to hear that the S10 lite could have 6gb ram and 128 internal.

Think the S10 with 8gb ram/ 512gb will be my target for this year at launch.

o0MHJ0o
o0MHJ0o

Wow! Those prices are truly on cloud 9! It’s like they’ve not even seen Apple’s sales! They need to trim $200 off all these prices!

Chickenbone420
Chickenbone420

I don’t think Samsung will make the prices this high, especially after the S9 fail. I get there will be many innovations to this phone, but there won’t be a $400 increase for the plus model. This report doesn’t seem accurate besides the 5G model price.

Bobbingalong
Bobbingalong

It’s gone crazy over the last couple of years because of apple greed. Even the Chinese OEM are asking for up to Β£700 for their flagship or some cases even higher.

Really hope they can do something about the prices! Especially for the people who buy their phone out right.

deardevil
deardevil

they will do, when they release a phone and almost nobody buys the phone on the first month because it’s priced very high, they will know then they reach the limit. until then they will continue to increase the prices no matter what we say. i think phones over 1000€ are already overpriced , because most of the people that buy this phones are always changing every year to the latest and greatest. people will start to change every 2 years because the features will not compensate to give 1200€ every year. to have in the case of the S9+,… Read more »

And OEMs like Samsung will start to compensate this, so they are sure you buy a new one every year, by messing them up with software updates (or even the lack of) and battery life, which cannot be replaced in these glass slabs these days …
