The Galaxy S9+ has already received it and so have a couple of affordable devices. This update is only out in just one market at this point in time. However, it goes without saying that it will be arriving elsewhere in the not too distant future.
Samsung is rolling out firmware version N9600ZHU1ARL1 for the Galaxy Note 9 in Hong Kong. The firmware update will be available over-the-air. It's also available for download from our firmware section. These updates normally don't more bring than just the security patches.
It's meant for Note 9 units running on Android 8.1 Oreo, not the One UI (Android Pie) beta. The security patch for the month of December 2018 includes fixes for six critical Android OS vulnerabilities and over a dozen high-risk vulnerabilities.
This update is only available in Hong Kong at this point in time. However, it won't be long before Galaxy Note 9 owners in other parts of the world start receiving update notifications as well. It won't be long now before the update goes live in other markets as well.
