Samsung confirmed that the Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be available in select markets later this month. While it didn't confirm if the United States will get this color option, a new leak suggests that this option may be heading Stateside as well.
Samsung is only going to offer the Burgundy Red color for its new flagship to customers in China and South Korea. The Sunrise Gold option will be available there as well later this month but Samsung did mention in its press release that it would also be offered in Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, Chile, Russia, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates next month. The company even said that other markets would follow thereafter.
The company didn't say that the Sunrise Gold color option won't be available in the United States even though the country wasn't mentioned in its press release. This left the possibility of it arriving wide open. Evan Blass a.k.a @evleaks has tweeted out a render which seems to suggest that this color option will be available to customers in the United States as well.
You may not be able to immediately spot the difference in the render he tweeted out compared to the ones Samsung shared in its press release but if you look closely, you'll see that his renders display the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ monikers at the back. This is a clear indication that Samsung will offer the option in the United States because no other variant except the one sold in the United States carries the handset's name at the back.
That, coupled with the solid track record of Blass when it comes to product leaks, gives enough reason to believe that customers in the United States will indeed be able to pick up the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ in Sunrise Gold.
Samsung describes it as its first color to feature a stain gloss finish which envelops the device in a tranquil glow and glimmer in order to evoke feelings of vibrancy and calm. Samsung developed this finish to appeal to customers with a touch of high fashion and urban interior design.
