Samsung regularly offers freebies to users who buy its Galaxy devices. In the past, the company has offered freebies like microSD cards, Gear VR, wireless charger, Bluetooth headphones, Dex Pad, etc to customers who purchase its flagship devices. Along with these expensive accessories, Samsung also offers many digital freebies like apps and subscription services to its customers.

    Latest promotion ends May 16

Samsung seems to be offering one such promotion again by giving away $500 worth of in-app purchases for select games. However, unlike the other freebies which are aimed at selling more devices, this one appears to be aimed at promoting the Galaxy Apps store. By offering free in-app purchases in popular games, Samsung is providing an incentive for Galaxy users to download apps and games from its app store.

There is no clear information from Samsung about eligible devices and other terms and conditions for this promotion. So, if you own a Galaxy smartphone, launch ‘Galaxy Apps’ and click on the ‘Exclusive Game Offers’ banner (on some devices, it’s small gift icon in the upper right corner) on the home page to see the list of free in-app purchases applicable to you. The promotion reportedly ends on May 16, so grab the freebies before that if they interest you.

For the benefit of other users, let us know in the comments section if the offer is available to you. Do state your smartphone model and country for reference.

Galaxy Apps update brings a cleaner UI, dedicated categories for watch faces

Samsung has updated its Galaxy Apps application. Unfortunately, the upgrade — Version 4.2.01-7 — doesn't bring much to the table in terms of added functionality. However, it does transport a cleaner user interface, together with the facility to receive push notifications for upcoming promotions held by the South Korean company. Aside from the sharper visuals, Version 4.2.01-7 finally introduces a […]

Samsung, defend your Galaxy: make these Apple and TAG Heuer clones disappear

Every tech company with an app store likes to believe its mobile headquarters is safe from foreign invaders, but that's not the case. Too often, the most reputable app stores contain malware (Google Play) or apps that violate the company's own approval policies. Apps slip through the cracks often, but the issue is not whether […]
