Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage gets a price cut in India

Samsung announced the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ for the Indian market in April and launched them in May. These were the regular models that came with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. Two months later, the company launched a special variant of the Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with a price tag of INR 74,990 ($1,162). Just one month after the launch, the price of this variant has dropped to INR 70,990 ($1,100). The lower price has gone into effect on Samsung's official website and brick and mortar stores; Flipkart, the Galaxy S8's official online sale partner, is still offering the phone at the original price.

Unlike the regular Galaxy S8+, which is available in four colors, the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is available only in Midnight Black. Apart from higher memory and storage, there's no difference between this variant and the regular variant of the Galaxy S8+ (so you get specs like the Exynos 8895 SoC, the beautiful Infinity Display, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and more). The South Korean smartphone giant first launched the higher-end variant in its home market South Korea. Later, its availability was extended to China and Hong Kong as well.
