Feast your eyes upon the Galaxy Note 8 in these leaked renders

Reliable tipster OnLeaks has teamed up with online publication 91Mobiles to release a set of renders and a 360-degree video of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, allegedly showcasing the handset from all angles.

Just like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the Galaxy Note 8 sports a near bezel-less design, though it’s slightly thicker to house the S Pen and the refreshed camera, and its frame is more square to help with ergonomics.

What’s even more interesting, however, is the arrangement of the dual-camera, LED flash, heart rate monitor and fingerprint reader, which are all positioned next to each other with a protruding piece of glass protecting them.

According to 91Mobiles, the Galaxy Note 8 measures in at approximately 162.4 x 74.5 x 8.4mm, with the thickness jumping up to 9.5mm when you factor in the camera bump. Its weight is currently unknown.

As for specifications, leaks and rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 8 will pack a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge Infinity Display (18.5:9 aspect ratio), an Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 CPU, 6GB of RAM and a 3,300mAh battery.

When it hits the shelves, the Galaxy Note 8 will be available in three colors — black, blue and gold — and is expected to cost somewhere in the region of $1,100, making it the firm’s most expensive smartphone to date.

Unfortunately, were unable to verify these images, so best take them with a pinch of salt until we know more.

I didn’t read the articles or look at the renders. I’m just a fan of the Note and I like to see the comments. The Note phones were initially built for function, but since the Note 4 they’ve focused more on fashion and gadgetry. And it seems like that’s what the majority wants. It’s sad! The Note used to stand above the S Series, but now it gets mostly the same specs. I’d gladly have a bigger phone that could hold a larger battery, rather than sacrifice battery size to make the phone skinny and dainty. It comes with an… Read more »

It looks very good, and I have no problems with the fingerprint scanner on my S8+. But the one thing that bugs me is the size of the sensor-area on top. It looks bigger than the S8 in these images!

Well, I’m not shelling out €1.000,- for this. My Note 3 was around 600,- (including 125 cashback and 64 GB SD-card) when Samsung still had good deals in Europa. I’ve gotten tired of waiting and my HTC U11 should arrive today. FPS in the right spot and it costs half the Note 8.

Really not worth buying with this annoying fingerprint reader where it is. My s7 edge runs S note and Samsung notes so this year definitely not worth the change. Hopefully next year will be the notes time to shine. I do miss my note but won’t buy one for the sake of it. We could all end up being pleasantly surprised by the final product. Still time I guess

It’s clear that it’s fake. But this is so badly designed, that the designer should be shamed. And of course banned from Sammobile forever.

The front is gorgeous.
The back dual horizontal camera/fp with this glass above is so ugly, it can’t be uglier. The glass around camera is even more irritating than on Note 4, i thought it can’t be possible. Hope this is not real.

This make me laugh, Year after year, Samsung disappointed me a lot with the notes series, note 4 was a good phone, then note 5 the phone size i wanted and flat phone, don’t arrived to Europe. Then note 7 the best of the best, i had to return it, now i have s8, and don’t bought the plus because it’s to big, for one hand usage. Now show this leaks with this horrible finger print sensor on the same place, some leaker or fan boy is messing with the users. I know its fake, but note 8 will disappoint… Read more »

If the S8+ is “to big”, why would you have any interest in a Note phone?

If it is already wider to carry the pen, it is not possible that the double camera protrudes. The design is ugly.

Fake

please elaborate why you think this is fake? Onleaks has been so many times right in the past. This can just as easily be the real deal.

Fake as in: 01. No Infinity Display – 02. Camera bump (Samsung worked hard on eliminating it) – 03. HUGE bezel

Martin R.

On 1 and 3 I can agree on, yet 2 is a new type of camera (Double Camera module) so the bump can be real…

Together with the new bump Samsung’s backstep will be real too then. Too bad, in my opinion of course….

Well, if it is the real deal then there is something terribly wrong with Samsung. The forehead is very big like Sony phones, then the chin is thin. Wouldn’t it be better the other way around so you can fit a home button with a fingerprint scanner at the front rather than at the back and next to the camera AGAIN? Also 9.5mm thick and still just a 3,300mAh battery, seriously? Why not get rid of the camera hump and fit in a bigger battery? I’m fine with that thickness as long as it has a bigger battery of 4500-5000… Read more »
