We had reported last week that Samsung could soon roll out Android 7.0 to the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) and the Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925I) in India, and the company has done just that today. The update, which has a file size of 1247.36MB, brings Android 7.0 to the devices along with April 2017 security patch.

The Nougat update brings a newer UI design, improved notifications and quick setting toggles, better multi-window system, and Game Launcher to the smartphones. Samsung claims that the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge should also offer improved performance with this update. Users should also see faster system upgrades as well as app installation.

If you’re from India, have you received the Nougat update on your Galaxy S6 or S6 edge yet?
