Samsung files trademark for ‘Galaxy J7 Sky Pro’ in the US

It appears Samsung will soon be launching a new variant of the Galaxy J7 in the United States. The company has filed for a trademark on the brand “Galaxy J7 Sky Pro.” The filing has been accepted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and will be assigned to an examining attorney within three months of the filing date.

No further information is available about this device right now so it's unclear how it's going to be different from the existing Galaxy J7. It's also unclear why Samsung is using the term “Sky Pro” for this device. Whether it's because the device has some feature that's defined by this term or whether it's simply a new color option. The filing does mention that this trademark is for a mobile device but that was pretty evident given that this trademark filing is for a variant of the Galaxy J7.

It may take a couple of months for the situation to become clear. Hopefully we'll get to know more about this device in the coming months and find out what the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro is all about.
