Earlier this week, Samsung added a page to its official website that enables Galaxy Note 7 owners to determine if their specific handset is subject to the recall by looking at the code etched on the bottom of the back of the device, then plugging it into a box on the page.

Now, however, the South Korean company has decided to make it a little bit easier for customers to see if they need to return their unit as it has updated its official Samsung+ application in the Play Store with the same functionality as its website.

If you already have Samsung+ on your Galaxy Note 7 and would like to install the update, simply open up the Play Store, toggle the hamburger menu on the left-hand side of the screen, select ‘My Apps’, click on ‘Samsung+’, then hit the update button.
