Believe it or not, one of the most popular questions we get asked over on Facebook and Twitter is something along the lines of: “How do I put my Galaxy S7 in Silent Mode?” The physical volume controls located on the left-hand side of the handset only cycle down to Vibrate, so if you want to completely mute all incoming notifications, you have to use the Settings. Thankfully, the process is extremely easy and can be done in a couple of seconds.

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Swipe down from the top of your display.
  2. Locate the Sound shortcut from the row of icons that appear.
  3. Tap it three times. You should notice a little a render of a smartphone appear in the circle with a diagonal line through it, accompanied by the text ‘Mute.”

If you happen to run into any issues along the way, do be sure to let us know in the comments section below, and we’ll do our very best to get you back on track.
