    Samsung’s new IoT cloud platform is now commercially available

    Samsung announced today that the Samsung Artik Cloud, an open data exchange platform which connects devices and apps, is commercially available. The platform provides easy-to-use open APIs and tools to securely collect, store, and act on data from linked devices or cloud services. Companies can use these APIs and tools to quickly bring new Internet of Things products to market. The new cloud platform coupled with the Samsung Artik portfolio of integrated modules enables faster development of new IoT devices and services as they offer an open platform with production-ready modules, development boards, software, drivers, tools, security features and more.

    The Samsung Artik Cloud platform is commercially available starting today with a tiered pricing model, developers can start using it free at artik.cloud. “We’re excited to announce the SAMSUNG ARTIK Cloud after three years of development and feedback from hundreds of developers,” said Young Sohn, President and Chief Strategy Office at Samsung, adding that the launch of this new platform signals Samsung's entry into the cloud services market.
