Samsung has announced that the Unpacked event for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will be “presented in 360 live streaming.” This is the first time the Unpacked event will be visible from multiple angles for viewers around the world, and naturally users of the Gear VR will be getting the best experience. We guess this is also a hint that the Gear 360 could be made official alongside the S7 duo. Of course, this could also indicate that all the rumors were simply talking of the event being streamed in 360 degree, but all the focus on virtual reality means the Gear 360 could get considerable attention this Sunday.

The entire thing will be recorded from four different angles, and you will be able to watch the proceedings from the auditorium, from stage left, from stage right or from center stage. Android and iOS users will need to grab the Unpacked 360 View app to view the event (here’s the Google Play link), while PC users will simply need to visit the Galaxy Unpacked website. For Gear VR users, the Unpacked 360 View app can be downloaded from the Oculus Store. The apps don’t do anything right now, but they should become active on February 21, at 7 p.m. (CET).
