We exclusively reported quite a long time ago that Samsung is developing a round smartwatch and even though the company dropped some hints in its software it never really showed us what the smartwatch would look like. Even though Samsung wasn’t expected to formally launch the smartwatch, commonly known by its codename Orbis, at its event today the company did show off the device and also revealed that it’s actually going to be called the Samsung Gear S2.

Samsung didn’t go into much detail about the features and specifications of the Gear S2 but we did get a look at the design placeholder, however it did mention one crucial bit of information, the Gear S2 is going to be formally unveiled at the IFA 2015 convention in Berlin next month. SamMobile will be present on the ground to cover the festivities and will have much more to report on about the Gear S2 from Berlin.
