Samsung announced today that the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S III, Note II and the S4 would begin rolling out in the US in the coming weeks, and it looks like the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S4 could begin receiving it from today itself. The update's details were listed on Samsung's and Verizon's website, showing the build number VRUEMJ7 and a release date of October 28th, though Verizon's support website still points to a previous update as being the latest one.

According to the changelog, the update will add Galaxy Gear support, enable Band 4 LTE, add an updated version of Group Play (from the Note 3), and Samsung KNOX support. Verizon isn't exactly the most timely carrier when it comes to updates, so it will surely be a huge surprise if they push out the update before other carriers, though it's best not to get too hopeful until more details emerge on the rollout schedule.
