Intel Bay Trail-powered Samsung tablet shipped for testing, could be Windows 8 and Android hybrid

Intel's most powerful mobile chip, the Bay Trail quad-core SoC, is expected to arrive this fall and offer processing power that blurs the line between PCs and tablets, and the first Samsung tablet to use the beastly chipset has been found to have shipped for testing, according to Zauba's shipping documents. The tablet has a reference number of FTXI02W0000026 (common to all Bay Trail devices, Samsung or non-Samsung), though that's all the details the shipping manifest offers.

The tablet is most likely a Windows 8 tablet, but since Bay Trail supports Android as well, we might see an all-in-one hybrid tablet that can boot into both. Whichever OS it runs though, expect it to be a veritable powerhouse.
