Galaxy Tab 3 GT-P3200 confirmed

New details showed up about the next generation Galaxy tablets by Samsung. The GT-P3200 Galaxy Tab 3 7/8” will run on Android 4.2.1 and uses a 7/8” display with resolution of 800 x 1280. The information came from GLBencmark. According to them the CPU will be between the 200~1500 Mhz and with a Mali-400MP GPU. There is still no confirmation about which screen size Samsung will use, earlier SamMobile reported about the Galaxy Tab 7.0” being dropped. Sadly,  the Galaxy Note 8.0 uses the same resolution as the Galaxy Tab 3 and the Galaxy Note 8.0 uses a 8.0” screen.

We expect Samsung to show many tablets at Mobile World Congress end this month.
SamMobile is live in Barcelona and we will make some hands-on with the tablet!

Android this week: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 spec’d; HTC M7 yelled; Nexus 4 ships — Tech News and Analysis

[…] Alleged benchmarks for the Galaxy Tab 3 indicate a 1280 x 800 display running Android 4.2.1 and a CPU capable of up to 1.5 GHz. I’m willing to bet that Samsung keeps the price down by not using one of its new Exynos 5 processors, but a dual-core version of the prior Exynos generation. It’s more likely that Samsung uses the newer chip in the Galaxy Note 8.0. […]

Samsung’s Galaxy phones are better spec’ed than all their tabs/notes with better screens, better camera, etc.
All this with a less powerful battery.

If they want to compete with the iPad, they should beef these things up a bit.

My main point is that why should I upgrade from my Tab 2 to a Tab 3 (or note) when the step up in hardware (and performance) is going to be so small?

Is there ever any need for name calling?

First of all, the S4 specs you’ve listed are just rumours. It’s highly unlikely that Samsung will put Exynos 5 OCTA on the S4.
Second, I do agree with you that Samsung should supply their tablets with better displays. But considering that Samsung has equipped the Tab 2 with inferior hardware compared to the Note 10.1, they will continue to do this in order to separate the two product lines. If you want a top of the line tablet, get the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Lastly, stop whining like a baby.

So they can make a 5″ phone with a 1080p super AMOLED display, 2Gb RAM, 8 core CPU and GPU, 13Megapixel camera, etc. (SGS4)
Why can’t they make a 7 or 8 inch tablet with the same specs?

Even the SGS3 has better or the same specs than this!

That would seriously blow iPad away.

I’m disappointed with this.

cant wait for this..:)
