Stupid pointless video. If you can’t scratch it with a knife what’s the point trying it with coins? Give me his phone I’ll smash it for him.

It’s not that scratch resistant at all. I have only had my S4 for less than 4 days and it already has a nasty scratch on the screen.

take it outside and slide it down the sidewalk face down. That’s a more realistic test.

I have a S3 and i have a scratch in the display.
Normally i pay attention but as i use 2 GSM S3 for private and Iphone3GS as business phone,(sorry its from the company).
Sometimes i have both in the pocket normally back on back, but sometimes back iphone on front S3. So i got a scratch.
In that video the guy is doing very soft even with the knife, so in my meaning this video is useless. Please bring a real test.

its all because of the gorilla glass which is a protective layer to ur smartphone
gorilla glass is useless in dusty regions as dusts and sand is very hard to remove when attached to the display

They should use minerals not just metal. What about impact test?

True
Somebody should introduce “The Sand Test” and skip “The Key and Coin Test”. Just a tiny the spoon of sand and then a bit of rubbing LOL :)

This test doesn’t prove much, but it’s nice to see that the S4 has a super tough screen.
Despite the fact I’m totally disappointed with my (brazilian) Note II which DOESN’T feature any version of Corning Gorilla Glas (confirmed by Samsung Brazil support).

Gorilla Glass 2 in Galaxy S3 is pretty poor, so you’re not missing much.

Yeah, he would have to dig all the way through to the display itself to notice any scratches with all this finger filth he spreads ferociously on the display. :) And you’ll not scratch glass with a metal soft like this.
