Introduction

Like most Galaxy F smartphones, the Galaxy F14 is a renamed version of a Galaxy M smartphone for Indian retailer Flipkart. It sports the exact same list of features and specs as the Galaxy M14 and hit retail shelves in March 2023.

Design

The Galaxy F14's design language is similar to that of other budget Samsung Galaxy smartphones. It sports a plastic back panel with its two rear cameras placed vertically. The right side of the phone holds the volume rocker and a power button that also doubles up as a fingerprint reader.

Specifications

The Galaxy F14 is one of the first Samsung smartphones to be powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset. The Exynos 1330 is a 5nm octa-core chip with two cores clocked at 2.4GHz, six cores clocked at 2.0GHz, and the Mali-G68 MP2 GPU.

The F14 comes with either 4GB of RAM or 6GB of RAM, with both variants featuring 128GB of internal storage and support for microSD cards of up to 1TB. A 6,000 mAh battery sits under the plastic back panel and can be charged at 25W using a compatible charger (bought separately).

Connectivity features include 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, a USB-C 2.0 port, and support for all GPS systems (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS, NavIC). The F14 also has a 3.5mm headphone port.

Display

The Galaxy F14 comes with a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 2408×1080 pixels. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and sports an Infinity-V notch that holds the front-facing camera.

Camera

The Galaxy F14 features a 50-megapixel F1.8 primary camera at the back that is capable of recording videos at a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 (Full HD) and a frame rate of 30 fps. There's support for 10x digital zoom, and the LED flash helps nighttime photography.

The 50MP primary camera is accompanied by a 2MP F2.4 fixed-focus macro camera. For selfies, the F14 is equipped with a 13-megapixel sensor with an aperture of F2.0. Like the rear camera, the front camera can shoot Full HD videos at 30 frames per second.

Software and features

The Galaxy F14 debuted with Android 13 and One UI Core 5.1 out of the box and is eligible for two major OS upgrades and four years of security updates. It was updated to Android 14 and One UI 6.0 in December 2023.

Availability and price

The Galaxy F14 went on sale in India in March 2023 with a price tag of INR 14,990 for the 4GB RAM variant and INR 15,990 for the 6GB RAM variant. The device is available in three color options: B.A.E. Purple, GOAT Green, and OMG Black.
