[Poll Results!] Would you buy a metal smartwatch band if Samsung sold one?

Smartwatches can double as great fashion accessories. You can mix and match the bands with your outfits to truly personalize its look. Samsung sells bands for its smartwatches and there are plenty of third-party options available as well. However, we’re not quite pleased that the company hasn’t offered a metal watch band for its latest smartwatches.

Samsung may have its own reasons for not doing so, but it’s hard to deny that they look pretty good on its smartwatches. You can easily get a third-party metal watch band for the Galaxy Watch Active/Active 2 for under 50 euro. We have bought a few of them and are happy with just how great they make our Samsung smartwatches look.

It would be nice if Samsung starts offering a metal band as an official accessory. It’s going to make a lot of its customers happy if it does that. Would you be among the ones to buy one? Vote below and let us know your thoughts by dropping a comment.

Results: Unsurprisingly, it seems Samsung is missing out on plenty of prospective buyers of its smartwatch accessories, with 80 percent voters saying they’d absolutely buy a metal band from Samsung. 14 percent don’t like metal bands on smartwatches, and the remaining 6 percent voters say they’d rather buy a third-party band. That makes sense, of course, as third-party accessories are often less pricey than official ones.

I only ever wear metal watch bands and it is the first thing I swap out on any new smart watch.

I get metal bands before I even buy my watch, I want to make sure I have good options. Everyone loves my galaxy watch and active 2 in gold. Because they look so elegant with the bands I got from Amazon.

Not easy to say. I usually don’t like to have metal bands too tight around my wrist but still want to have good feedback from vibration. I had the Pebble Steel before and even though I liked the looks it was not all that practical.

i would buy a watch band for a watch as long as the watch does what is suppose to do. Like an ECG, they advertise the watch does something, and after a few months we are still waiting for FDA approval. i simply dont get it. they will announce another watch in a couple of months and active 2 still doesn’t do ECG’s and apparently no one cares in Samsung.

Samsung would just charge 50 quid for it when in reality it would be the exact same as most 3rd party ones, just with a Samsung logo on it.
I got a set of two metal bands for my Galaxy Watch 46mm costing just under 15 quid for the two, and they are very good quality so Samsung branded I couldn’t care less about

Im using a black ceramic bracelet with my Gear S3 Frontier. It doesn’t scratch, the paint doesn’t come off like metal. It’s great

I got a free Milanese strap for leaving a review for a GW2 screen protector that’s absolutely awesome anyway, so it was a double-win for me. The strap they sent is remarkably nice and comfortable.

I’ve tried a third party metal band (milanese style as in the picture) on my gear s3, but it sucked badly.
There’s a magnet in it that sometimes snapped in the cutlery.
Its sides also had some sharp edges that got stuck in clothes, in the sofa, in the blanket, etc
Once it even scratched my baby. That was it for me and I returned to the leather band.
It’s less durable, but it has less downsides.
