Speaking of Samsung's latest smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Watch Ultra have made great strides to breathe new life into their wristbands.
Seeing the effort Samsung put into these new designs, in retrospect, it almost feels like previous Watch wristbands were more like an afterthought.
These are my thoughts on the matter, but I will back up my claims with a few examples. Check out the renders below, depicting the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic standard bands. Then, keep scrolling for a closer look at the newer designs.
Now, check out Samsung's new designs for the latest Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 7 bands are called Sport, Fabric, and Athleisure, and the Ultra bands are named Marine, Trail, and Peakform.
In my eyes, the difference in attention to detail and intricacy between previous wristbands and these new ones for the Watch 7 and Ultra is huge and merits recognition. These wristbands don't feel like an afterthought and don't play it safe. They are bold, and they are beautiful.
More importantly, for the most part, they feel like they were designed alongside the new smartwatches rather than in a vacuum, only to be paired together later.
Even if you are not a fan of the new wristband designs, it's hard to deny that Samsung has put much more thought into these new standard wristbands than the previous ones.
Samsung probably knew it had something more special here, and to reward early Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra pre-order customers, the company is giving away the Fabric and Trail bands to early adopters.
You can hit the button below to pre-order your new Galaxy Watch. The pre-purchase window closes on July 24. If you're unsure about the prices but own an older smartwatch, make sure you check out Samsung's trade-in offers.
