The legendary Italian car manufacturer has announced that it's going to bring a bit of Samsung technology into its upcoming vehicles.
Ferrari has confirmed that its future vehicles will have Samsung Display's automotive OLED panels. Samsung Display is the world's leading supplier of OLED panels and it also has a thriving automotive business. Some of the world's top car manufacturers source OLED panels from Samsung for their infotainment systems.
Ferrari chief research and development officer Ernesto Lasalandra has said that Samsung Display's lightweight OLED panels have played a major role in “advancing the digital environment within Ferrari's next-generation models.”
Samsung's automotive OLED panels will enable Ferrari to provide more bespoke displays with unique layouts and highly personalized driver and passenger interfaces. These new systems will not just enhance the vehicle's aesthetics but also expand functionality.
The onboard experience for customers' is very important in the luxury segment where Ferrari positions its vehicles. With Samsung's support, the car maker will be able to introduce state of the art display solutions never seen before in vehicles of this calibre.
