Why the Galaxy Z Flip 5 makes fashionistas want to #JoinTheFlipSide

I've always been a big fan of the Galaxy Z Flip series and have been upgrading to the latest model annually ever since the first one came out. I've previously highlighted why this form factor is excellent from a woman's perspective.

Samsung has taken everything that made the Galaxy Z Flip series so great and elevated it further with the latest iteration, the Galaxy Z Flip 5. I also believe that this device will make all of the fashionable people really think about making a switch to this Samsung foldable phone.

The form factor itself is quite similar to the makeup compacts that we carry in our bags. You unfold it and there's a small mirror on the inside, enabling you to quickly check your look and make any touch ups if needed.

The previous versions of the Galaxy Z Flip have mostly had a glossy finish that was reflective, so you could just about get a good look at yourself when the device was folded. The other way to do that was to fire up the camera by pressing the power button twice. However, the cover display used to be so tiny that it didn't really make any difference. You had to unfold the device and use the selfie camera to get a good look anyway.

That obviously changes with the Galaxy Z Flip 5. This is the first Samsung clamshell foldable phone with a significantly larger cover display, a 3.4-inch panel to be exact. It's a complete game changer see you get a proper view of your self when the device is folded and the camera is enabled.

A lot of Galaxy Z Flip owners already use the cover display to check how they look but it wasn't as good of an experience as it could be on the earlier models. So even though it seems like a minor detail to be focusing on, it improves the user experience in such a significant day, that you actually feel happy that the device is able to cater to this specific need.

The other obvious advantage of a larger cover display is the ability to take better selfies, but that's to be expected anyway. Some camera improvements in hardware and software are included with every new generation. This particular use case isn't something that Samsung highlights or one that gets a lot of thought, but its one of the ways I've used by Galaxy Z Flip phones over the years, and I'm glad that its made even better with the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

I'm sure that fellow fashionistas will see the appeal here and ultimately make the switch to what is most definitely the future of smartphones. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are open right now and you can get the device by August 11 in most major markets across the globe.
