Wait, Samsung vacuum cleaners run One UI now? Looks that way

Samsung's modern vacuum cleaners are smarter and quite a bit more advanced than the home appliances of old. They boast several smart features and offer connectivity with the SmartThings platform, which requires a robust operating system.

Indeed, even Samsung vacuum cleaners need an OS — especially vacuums equipped with a screen. But do you think you can guess what operating system the top-tier Bespoke Jet Stick lineup runs in 2025?

If you've ever wondered, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra and similar stick cleaners — at least those that feature a Clean Station — run a lightweight version of Tizen. But surprisingly enough, the AI Jet Ultra also seems to boast a stripped version of One UI.

More specifically, in 2025, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra runs Tizen Lite 4.0 and One UI 7.0 Stick vacuum.

Tizen Lite shouldn't surprise anyone, as Tizen is the go-to operating system for Samsung outside the Android world.

But the fact that the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra must run some kind of One UI fork is rather unusual. Especially when this One UI version is called One UI 7.0 Stick vacuum.

Although the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra has a screen, it's fairly small and doesn't offer that much information. There is no home screen and there are no app icons. The UI is as minimal as it gets — not to say it isn't functional.

However, the Jet Ultra vacuum does offer some cross-device capabilities through SmartThings. For example, you can receive call and message notifications on your vacuum while you're cleaning. And the unit can even turn off automatically while you're taking a call.

All that being said, perhaps a One UI layer was necessary, even though Tizen Lite is developed by Samsung and so it should be in Samsung's full control. Or maybe this One UI layer is just the foundation for something bigger in the future.

Either way, Samsung has been trying to expand its One UI software to more devices, including TVs, so it kind of makes sense that other Samsung home electronics have adopted some incarnation of One UI — even if we, the users, might not be able to spot it easily.
