If you're based in the United States, you may have heard of Visible. It's an all-digital wireless carrier that's owned by Verizon, the largest mobile carrier in the United States. Visible is an app-based phone service that runs on Verizon's nationwide 4G network.
Visible has long supported eSIM for iOS devices and only recently started supporting it for Android. It has now expanded the list of supported devices to include several Samsung Galaxy models as well. Visible has a stated goal of becoming a fully eSIM carrier in the future.
Select Samsung phones are now compatible
An eSIM or embedded SIM works much like a normal SIM card. The only difference is that you don't have to swap out the SIM if you change carriers. You can simply configure whichever carrier you want to use on the eSIM.
Visible eSIM for Android support was announced back in April this year. Initially, only a handful of Google Pixel smartphones were supported. Starting this week, you can use the eSIM option on some of the best Samsung phones.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 as well as all of the models in the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series support eSIM on visible. If you own any of these phones, you can switch to Visible in as little as 15 minutes.
If you're interested, just check to see if your device is compatible through the carrier's website. You can then follow the provided instructions to switch over to Visible should you so desire.
