The latest software update for the factory-unlocked versions of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra is now available in the USA. It comes with firmware version G98xU1UES8HXC1 and has a relatively small download size. It brings the March 2024 security patch that fixes 44 security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software versions. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.
If you have a factory-unlocked Galaxy S20 series phone in the US, you can check for the new update right now. To do that, open the Settings app on your phone, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also follow the manual firmware flashing process if you are well-versed with it. You would need to download the appropriate firmware file from our database and have a PC running Windows OS.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 in early 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update in late 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It didn't get the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update soon.
