Which Samsung phones are the thinnest in 2026? Ask that question a year ago and you’d get a very different answer. Samsung spent much of 2025 slimming down its phones, and the results are hard to miss.
Below are the thinnest Galaxy phones you can buy in early 2026. Last year, we only looked at devices under 8mm thick. This time, we’ve tightened the criteria.
The list now includes only Galaxy phones that are 7.5mm thick or thinner. There are far more slim Galaxy devices than there were a year ago, so we had to trim the fat to keep things focused. Here’s how the updated rankings shake out.
Galaxy foldable phones ranked by thinness
Slab Galaxy phones ranked by thinness
A year ago, the thinnest non-foldable Samsung phone was still the Galaxy A8 from 2025, with an advertised thickness of 5.9mm.
Not many phones released throughout 2025 managed to beat it, but the Galaxy S25 Edge did and still sits comfortably at the top. It remains Samsung’s slimmest slab phone to date.
Foldables kept getting thinner too. The 3.9mm Galaxy Z TriFold takes the all-time thinness crown outright. That said, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 may be the more impressive achievement overall.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is not just absurdly thin when unfolded, it’s also remarkably slim when folded. Not under 7.5mm, but far closer to slab-phone territory than any previous Galaxy foldable. That sweet balance is what makes it one of the most desirable Samsung foldables ever made.
