Tesla delivered 38% more vehicles in 2023 compared to 2022

Tesla has revealed the number of vehicles it produced and sold in 2023, and the result comes as a great piece of news for customers and shareholders. The company produced 1,845,985 vehicles and delivered 1,808,581 vehicles last year. That’s a 38% increase in the deliveries YoY (the brand delivered 1,313,851 vehicles in 2022).

While Tesla posted a stellar result, the growth isn’t as good as that of 2022, where the company delivered 40% more vehicles compared to 2021. That’s probably because Tesla’s sales have been slowing down as many brands are entering the electric vehicle (EV) market, with BYD retaining the first position for the second year in a row.

In the press release, Tesla also revealed that it will post the financial results for 2023 on January 24, 2024. So, it will be interesting to see how these numbers translate into profits. Expect the company to gain more popularity this year as the Cybertruck is now out. On a side note, Tesla cars will soon support third-party apps.
