Target seems to have ditched Samsung to only carry iPhone cases

Target is one of the leading retailers in the United States. Having it carry your products is a big deal and can bring in a lot of sales. However, it appears that either the retailer has decided not to carry Samsung's official cases for Galaxy devices or it's only going to carry Apple's official cases for the iPhone from now on.

Multiple customers have highlighted the fact that they can't seem to find official cases for Samsung's products at Target anymore. Someone claims to have received word that it's actually Target that has decided to only carry official iPhone cases exclusively.

Other retailers seem to be ditching official Samsung cases as well

A Reddit user claims that they've heard Target will exclusively carry official iPhones cases only from now on. Other say that they've found it increasingly hard to come across official Galaxy cases at Target stores, with some locations having very limited stock with no signs of a restock.

This is apparently also the situation at Five Below, a US-based chain of specialty discount stores where you could pick up official Samsung cases at a bargain in the past. One Reddit user also mentioned that this appears to be the case at Best Buy as well.

Target stores do seem to have little to no stock of official Samsung cases anymore. The stores I checked out recently in Los Angeles and San Diego had none, while there were countless official Apple cases in stock. Even if you go to Target's website, you can easily buy official Apple cases but none are available for Galaxy devices.

It's unclear whether these retailers have decided en masse to no longer carry official Samsung cases or that Samsung has decided it would rather sell them through other channels. Be that as it may, if you're looking for an official case, we'd suggest buying one from Samsung.com.
