The three big mobile carriers in the USA, i.e., AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, are in constant competition. Right now, they're trying to snag as many Galaxy S25 pre-order customers as possible, but as far as 2024 is concerned, T-Mobile dwarfed its competition in one metric.
The three big US-based carriers recently revealed their financial results for 2024, and one metric they included in their reports was “postpaid phone net adds.” It reveals how many new postpaid phone subscribers a carrier has added to its network.
In 2024, T-Mobile recorded the highest number of postpaid phone net additions to its network (via Android Authority). The financial reports reveal that T-Mobile welcomed nearly twice as many new subscribers as AT&T and a staggering 37.8x more than Verizon.
- T-Mobile: 3,100,000 new postpaid phone net adds in 2024.
- AT&T: 1,653,000 new postpaid phone net adds in 2024
- Verizon: 82,000 new postpaid phone net adds in 2024.
In other news, T-Mobile is doing right by its Galaxy S24 series buyers by enabling Starlink's satellite emergency messaging services. The carrier announced the addition of SpaceX's Starlink a few months ago, and earlier this year, the first Galaxy S24 devices have started benefitting from this technology.
AT&T offers some of the most attractive Galaxy S25 pre-order benefits, including a $0 monthly cost for the base model with an eligible trade-in.
