One UI 8.5, the next major iteration of Samsung's custom software, brings many improvements. However, it came close to ruining the camera experience on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Fortunately, that didn't happen, but our new video shows just how degraded the experience could have been had things played out differently.

It all came down to Samsung removing two camera modes from the More tab in the camera app, Single Take and Dual Recording. However, this was quietly fixed but the implementation still leaves a lot to be desired.

Both of these features have been around for some time now. Dual Recording allows you to record with two separate camera lenses and either save them as one clip or separate clips. Single Take is a very useful feature, it takes 15-second clips instead of a photo and then uses AI to extract the best moments from the clip.

It was mind boggling to have both of these features missing from one of the previous One UI 8.5 builds that Samsung released for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. While Samsung did bring these modes back, it has worked around some things that deserve a look.
