Today, November 3, Samsung officially confirmed the arrival of the One UI 6.0 update in Malaysia. The company made a public statement, and the Executive Vice President and Head of Software Office at Samsung MX had this to say:

“Every iteration of One UI responds to the needs of our user community, and we look forward to user feedback on One UI 6 as we create a richer, more intuitive experience for all.”

For the moment, the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update is available for the Galaxy S23 series, but more devices will join the party in the coming weeks and months.

Story continues after our One UI 6.0 overview video

Samsung first rolled out the stable One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy S23 series in Germany at the beginning of the week. The company expanded the firmware's availability to more countries, and needless to say, the list now includes Malaysia.

One UI 6.0 is chock-full of new and updated features

There's a lot to take in with the One UI 6.0 update. Samsung has refined the UI in many ways, adding new widgets, redesigning the quick toggle area, integrating a new system-wide typeface, and improving mobile photography through dozens of tweaks and new features.

If you have the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, or Galaxy S23 Ultra, you should be getting an update notification at any moment now. Or you can try to trigger the update process from the phone's Settings app by navigating to “Software update” and tapping “Download and install.”
