According to multiple reports about Apple’s next MacBook Pro, it will feature an OLED screen, bringing it in line with other high-end laptops on the market, such as the Galaxy Book 5, and the Cupertino-based tech giant will source these panels from Samsung Display.
Well, a popular analyst says that Apple's upcoming MacBook Pro will feature an OLED screen with touch functionality, making it the first MacBook with a touchscreen. It means that Samsung will supply Apple with not just an OLED display but with an OLED touchscreen.
Ming-Chi Kuo, Analyst at TF International Securities, says Apple will equip the upcoming MacBook Pro with an OLED display featuring touch functionality. According to him, this panel will have on-cell touch technology, which integrates a touch-sensing layer into the display panel instead of a separate layer for reduced panel thickness.
According to a recent report from The Elec, Apple will source OLED displays for the next MacBook Pro from Samsung Display. Considering that, it is safe to assume that the South Korean tech giant will be supplying Apple with OLED touchscreens for its next laptop. It remains to be seen if it will be a regular OLED panel or come with new features.
