Samsung has launched a new iteration of its most premium smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is by the company's own admission the most powerful and advanced Galaxy Watch ever.
You'd expect such a device to have an equally impressive price tag, and it most certainly does. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 starts at $699.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is only offered in one 47mm size. It features a 1.52-inch Super AMOLED display with 2GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It happens to be the first smartwatch to offer 5,000 nits of brightness for its display.
Samsung's latest premium wearable is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite platform and features a massive 800mAh battery, a 35% upgrade over the previous model.
It has all the health and fitness-related features that you could ask for, backed by Samsung's AI solutions to deliver enhanced wellness outcomes. Samsung has packed all of this in a shock-resistant titanium casing that's 12% thinner than the previous generation.
Such capabilities do not come cheap, and the $699 starting price makes that abundantly clear. Customers in markets across Europe will pay €749 for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
The wearable is available in Titanium Silver and Titanium Gray colors, with pre-orders open today. Samsung will release the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 on August 7.
