Samsung's Bespoke AI combo gets highest IoT security rating for the second year running

As Internet of Things (IoT) devices become more commonplace in the home, so do the concerns regarding this security. Therefore, it's incumbent upon the manufacturers to ensure that the products they're selling to consumers provide utmost security against online threats.

Samsung has increasingly been adopting the use of AI and IoT for its home appliances, and the company is backing them up with enhanced security measures. Its popular Bespoke AI combo line of appliances has now received the highest IoT security rating for the second consecutive year.

Bespoke AI Combo maintains its top IoT security rating

Samsung has announced today that its integrated laundry and dryer Bespoke AI Combo appliance has received the highest Diamond rating in the IoT security evaluation by global certification body UL Solutions.

UL Solutions has an IoT Security Rating program under which it evaluates the security of smart home devices. The tested devices are ranked in five categories – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Samsung's Bespoke AI Combo received the Diamond rating last year as well.

Bespoke AI Combo has received the Diamond rating for the second year running. To receive the highest rating, appliances must clear 33 security assessments, including tampering detection, malicious software, prevention of unauthorized access attempts, and anonymization of user data.

Samsung's Knox platform guarantees safety for the company's appliances. It also recently launched Knox Matrix, which continuously checks the security status of connected devices on the network and instantly alerts the user if a problem is detected.
