Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. It brings the October 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues.

Currently, Samsung is rolling out the update in its home country, South Korea. The update is 535.46MB in size and carries firmware version F966NKSS5AYJ3 (via Tarun Vats).

To get the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We expect Samsung to release the update in other regions in the next few days.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 may soon get One UI 8.5

The next major update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will offer One UI 8.5. It is based on Android 16 QPR2. Along with the new features that the new version of Android offers, Samsung has added a few of its own. It also offers many new UI elements.

Samsung has almost completed its development. The brand is expected to debut it with the Galaxy S26 series, and soon after that, start rolling it out to eligible devices.
