We’ve entered February, and Samsung hasn't released the January 2026 security patch to many of its smartphones and tablets. Two of them were the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. Well, not anymore.
Samsung is rolling out a software update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ that offers the January 2026 security update (via @ya_sking12767). Currently, the brand is rolling out the update in South Korea.
The update is 288.38MB in size and carries firmware version X510XXSADZA3 and X610XXSADZA3. We expect Samsung to start offering it in other regions in the next few days. To check if the brand has made it available in your region and to get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series is eligible to get One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). It offers a redesigned user interface and new features, which will give the two tablets a fresh breath of life. You can check them out in our video below. Samsung is expected to release the update after launching the Galaxy S26 series.
