Samsung’s flagship non-foldable phones from 2024, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, are getting new software updates. They bring the March 2026 security patch, which addresses 65 security issues present in the previous version of the OS.
Usually, Samsung releases a new update for a phone first in its home country, South Korea. It’s no different with the latest updates for the Galaxy S24 series phones. The updates carry firmware versions S921NKSS5CZC1, S926NKSS5CZC1, and S928NKSS5CZC1 (via Tarun Vats).
If Samsung’s software update rollout history is anything to go by, the brand should release the new updates in other regions in the next few days. To check if the company has made it available in your region, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. That is also how you will be able to get the update.
Speaking of software updates for the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung is expected to open the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) beta program for the lineup soon, letting people enrolling their devices in it experience the brand’s latest version of Android customisation before others. It brings a redesigned UI and many new features.
