The South Korean TV giant has added ten channels from MBC and SBS, and they include programming in various genres, including drama, entertainment, movies, news, and sports. Samsung said that it is planning to add 30 more free-to-air channels to Samsung TV Plus.
The free-to-use, ad-free video streaming service was launched by Samsung in South Korea in 2015. Since then, Samsung TV Plus has expanded to 23 countries worldwide and offers more than 1,300 channels across all the markets.
Sang-Sook Han, VP of Samsung's TV business, said, “Samsung TV Plus will take a step forward as a domestic FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) service by providing high-quality terrestrial content through cooperation with MBC and SBS. We will continue to provide a more enjoyable and convenient experience for users and develop it into a platform where partners can make various and innovative attempts.”
