Samsung to discontinue Quick Measure app for Galaxy phones

Samsung offers a wide range of apps for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. While some are widely used, others are relatively lesser known. One such app is Quick Measure, a useful tool that uses the camera to measure distances. Unfortunately, Samsung has decided to discontinue it.

Samsung has issued a notice in the Quick Measure app stating that it will terminate the service on December 31, 2026. From that day onward, the app will no longer be available for download, while users who already have it installed will no longer receive updates. In addition, some of its features may stop working.

Samsung hasn’t revealed why it is terminating the app. However, the company has thanked users who have used the service and remained loyal to it. Samsung also said, “We are committed to returning with improved services in the future.”

It is unclear what the company means by that statement, though. It could suggest that the South Korean tech giant plans to bring back Quick Measure in an improved form, but there is no confirmation of that yet.
