The official Twitter account for Samsung Exynos has put up an animated video. It recaps the challenging year that 2021 was for much of the world, but not without possibility giving us a hint about what its next-gen processor may be called.
Titled Together With You, the short animated video starts off with two friends battling a rather dangerous-looking monster in a video game. A COVID surge and the subsequent social distancing measures force the friends apart.
From being in quarantine to donating for people in need, the video reminds us of a journey that the entire human race has collectively been a part of throughout the year. As the world gradually returns to normal and our protagonist wakes up on Christmas morning, you can see a poster on the wall with “2200” emblazoned across it. Is that Samsung dropping us a hint?
That may very well be true because the character's Christmas present is a new smartphone. With these shots coming in quick succession, one can't help but feel that this is a foreshadowing of what's to come.
Be that as it may, this is quite an elaborate way of dropping a hint. From what we know so far, the Exynos 2200 will be Samsung's first chipset to feature an AMD Radeon GPU. Reports have also suggested that this GPU will have serious overclocking potential.
Whether that's actually true won't be known until the Galaxy S22 series is released. That's due to happen early next year.
